1. The 5-Minute Rule
The hardest part of a task is getting started.
Try this:
- Set a timer for 5 minutes
- Work on the task you’ve put off
- After 5 minutes, you can stop (if you want)
90% of the time, the momentum of starting is enough to keep you going.
2. Set limits on learning time
- Growth: learn --> apply --> learn --> apply
- Procrastination: learn --> learn --> learn Excessive learning becomes procrastination.
For each hour studying, spend an hour applying.
